With online banking, online bill payment, investment management and budgeting, Moneydance provides all the features of Quicken plus benefits such as ease of use and no sunsetting of features. We think taking our time to get it right will be well worth it and will make Mac customers even more excited when they use the new Quicken for Mac early next year. After waiting for months and finally pre-ordering in December, I finally downloaded this new product from Intuit. Moneydance is a powerful yet easy to use personal finance app for Mac, Windows, Linux, iPhone and iPad. We understand our loyal Mac customers are disappointed that the product won’t be in stores until after the first of the year. released version 6.5 of Quicken for Mac with various enhancements, including a new investment dashboard toolbar, account sidebar indicators, auto-reconcile, and bill pay. We spent extra time building a reconcile mode for the new register, a robust Windows-to-Mac transfer function for new Mac users (and existing customers running Quicken on a Windows virtual machine), and redesigned the experience to make it look and feel like a native Mac application should. We went back to the drawing board and are making changes to everything from what the program does to how it looks. I used to be a huge Quicken fanatic - even with their lazy coding of recent years Mac versions. After numerous false starts over several years, Intuit plans to announce the release of Quicken Essentials for Mac on Thursday. Things were looking up, we seemed to slowly be gaining ground back with Inuit and getting more regular updates.

This was a yearly update to the prior product Quicken for Mac 2006, which had been released the prior year in August 2005. The app is developed by Intuit and its user rating is 3.5 out of 5. It is a perfect match for Finances in the Business category.

For whatever reason Quicken thinks Mac users are unsophisticated dolts so we need a watered down 'essentials' version, not the complete version Win users have the option of buying. Intuit in a blog posting today announced the long awaited Quicken for Mac would be available for pre-order in October 2009 with final delivery scheduled for February 2010.įirst due out in 2008 as Quicken Financial Life for Mac, the software release schedule has gradually slipped.
